Rollin McCraty, PhD
Rollin McCraty, PhD, is Director of Research at the HeartMath® Institute. As a psychophysiologist, Rollin’s research interests include the physiology of emotion — with a focus on the mechanisms by which emotions influence cognitive processes, behavior, and health — and the global interconnectivity between people and the Earth’s energetic systems. Findings from this research have been applied to developing tools and technology to optimize individual and organizational health, performance, and quality of life.
Rollin has acted as principal investigator in numerous research studies examining the effects of emotions on heart-brain interactions plus autonomic, cardiovascular, hormonal, and immune system function. He has also served as principal investigator in many field studies to determine the outcomes of positive emotion-focused interventions and heart-rhythm feedback in diverse organizational and educational settings, as well as in various clinical populations.

Dr. Shamini Jain is a scientist, singer, social profit leader, and transformational teacher. She is founder and CEO of the Consciousness and Healing Initiative (CHI), a nonprofit collaborative accelerator that connects scientists, health practitioners, educators, and artists to help lead humanity to heal ourselves. She’s also an adjunct professor in the Department of Family Medicine at UC San Diego, where she’s an active member of UC San Diego’s Center for Integrative Health.
Shamini received her BA degree in Neuroscience at Columbia University, and her PhD in clinical psychology and behavioral medicine/psychoneuroimmunology at the UCSD/SDSU Joint Doctoral Program in Clinical Psychology. She conducted her post-doctoral fellowship at UCLA’s Division of Cancer Prevention and Control and her clinical internship at the La Jolla VA Hospital, where she worked with patients with post-traumatic stress, depression and other mood disorders, and chronic pain.
She integrates her background in vocal performance, clinical psychology, psychoneuroimmunology, and biofield and spiritual healing to teach people how they can best heal themselves and live with joy and spiritual alignment.
Her award-winning research in psychoneuroimmunology and biofield science, as well as her helpful tips for health and wellbeing, has been featured in TIME, US News and World Report, and on CNN, Good Day LA, and more.
Shamini, a member of the Evolutionary Leaders Circle, shares wellbeing and biofield research, as well as healing practices on the science and practice of healing in diverse venues, including TEDx, major universities and medical centers, health-related conferences, and corporations.
She teaches regularly at leading retreat centers, including Esalen, Sivananda Ashram, Omega Institute, and more. She also serves as a board member and scientific advisor for several nonprofit and social benefit companies.
Shamini studied with Reverend Rosalyn Bruyere in the healing arts, and is an ongoing student of the Divine Feminine. Her bestselling, award-winning book, Healing Ourselves: Biofield Science and the Future of Health, has been hailed as a breakthrough book in healing by leaders in the field, including Deepak Chopra, Cyndi Dale, Donna Eden, Eileen McKusick, and many more.
